The course
Wexler and Abell built the original in 1992 inside Laguna Phuket, the Banyan Tree Group's integrated resort on Bang Tao Bay. Paul Jansen reworked it over 18 months from July 2013: bunkers went from 100 to 37, the maintained turf shrank by more than 30 percent to save water, the nines were reversed and the fairways picked up links-style contours. Golfasian lists Asian Tour events here in 2009 and 2021.
The hazard is water. Lagoons sit beside many fairways and greens, but there are few elevation changes and hardly any blind shots, so it plays easier than Blue Canyon or Red Mountain. The club calls its greens fast, which is where most of the difficulty is.

One open point: the same club page lists the caddie separately at THB 400, so it is not clear whether the 5,600 includes the caddie. Budget up to THB 6,000 with caddie, plus 700 to 1,000 for a cart, until the club confirms.

Getting there
The club is on Srisoonthorn Road in Cherngtalay, inside the Laguna complex. From Phuket International Airport (HKT) it is roughly 25 minutes by taxi, from Patong about 20. If you are staying at one of the Laguna hotels, the resort's free shuttle stops at the club, so you do not need a car at all. From Kata, Karon or Phuket Town, book a taxi or a driver for the day.
On site: locker rooms with showers, a pro shop, club hire, and the Banyan Café for Thai and Western food. Bring a collared shirt, tailored shorts or trousers (no denim) and soft spikes.
When to play
November to April is the dry season. January averages 35 mm of rain over 4 days, December 80 mm over 8, and November is the changeover month at about 195 mm over 14 days. May to October brings the southwest monsoon (around 325 mm in September), with lower agent prices as a trade-off.
Tee off before 8:00 or after 14:00. Daily highs sit around 31–34 °C all year. In the wet months the usual local advice is to start early and finish by 14:00, ahead of the afternoon storms.
How to book
Book it yourself. Tee times can be booked online through the club website, by email at golf@lagunaphuket.com or by phone on +66 83 550 6683. You pay the club's rate at check-in. For most confident travelling golfers this is all you need.
Play it with a host. A Hosted Golf day puts a host in your group for all 18 holes, with hotel pick-up, the tee time, caddie and cart booked, and a club lunch and massage afterwards. Laguna is one of the three courses offered for the day, with Blue Canyon and Red Mountain.
